Democratic Primary

Can we talk about the democratic primary? Am I the only one that is sick to death of this primary? In the end I may not be the popular one :amazed: since I’m a McCain supporter at this point. When this all began I actually thought about the democratic candidates, even thought about voting for one of them. Ironically, since they have carried this primary on they both have shown who they are and where they stand, which I’ll say is on the other side of my ideas.

I recently read another blog where the woman had been a Hilary supporter, but had become disappointed in her. With Hilary carrying on over delegates (reminding me of ole’ Al Gore), talking about assignations, I’m amazed people are just now thinking she is a bit off  . Personally, I thought she was a little daf along time ago. I still remember her dealings with the cattle future trading, wasn’t that a little insider trading Hilary? Or how about her dealings with White Water? Then there was that pesky White House Cigar Scandal! :ahhh: Personally I didn’t care what Bill did on his free time, I did care that he lied about it when he was caught. After all this was the President of our country that couldn’t take honest responsibility for what he had done. Then what was this issue of Hilary standing by her man  That man should have been kicked to the curb with a big ole’ divorce! If this was my husband that had so publically embarrassed and humiliated me, he would have been gone! Kicking him to the curb would have been a way to keep some self dignity with the whole issue. The only reason I could see that Hilary didn’t leave him, was her over ambitious, self planning & manipulation for a some political career. I am amazed that people are just seeing her as self absorb, self centered, etc; obviously no one cared to really look at her past. Hilary if I wanted a woman to represent me I would want one that had dignity, self respect, showed me she was a woman of strong moral values, and Hilary doesn’t show these characteristics.

Obama is not my candidate either, although I briefly considered him as a possibility. What really kicked me off Obama was his desire for the government to save all those that are getting their home foreclosed on. I’m sorry that people have over extended themselves, that people aren’t smart enough to understand finances and the concept of living within your means! My husband and I live within our means, we don’t owe money everywhere to have the latest of anything. Our home is old, we are working on the remodeling of the house – it is taking a long time because we are paying for the remodeling work with CASH !! What cash :money:  We know right now our house payments are affordable even if jobs have to be changed, if lifestyles become different! We don’t owe for more than one vehicle at a time, then usually have a goal to pay that off within 2 to 2 ½ years  . Debt is not a way of life! :suprise: So why on this green earth would I want to bail out all those idiots that wanted to live like that had money they really didn’t  . This mentality of Obama’s gave me realization that he was a government guy  one that believes in making the government bigger to take care of the people, instead of the people learning to take care of (and responsibility) themselves! Obama is no angel either, he can play dirty politics just like Hilary, just go check into his Chicago tactics of prior campaigns.

That is just a little of my thoughts of both of those candidates, I am so disappointed overall with this election. Seriously I feel like I have no one to vote for, McCain for me is the least of all evils :cry .

Blogging Again

Posted by LauraM62 on Jun 1st, 2008

I’ve had to restart my blog! I possibly could have found a way to locate all my posting files and import them, but that was going to cause brain overload! What happened was my dear husband had a wonderful idea last year to change web hosts, but everything turned out a true mess! I got my blogs over to the new hosts, but then we had so many problems with the new hosts so we decided to go back to the old host. The old host offered to put all the files back on their servers for us, darling husband thought that sounded easy for me. Only problem was that my SQL databases got placed some where in la-la land. I’m not sure where they had the databases, assume they were in the old original spot on their servers. The problem is I couldn’t get to my databases if they are some where other than within my local files. I have now set up the databases, but of course all my old posts are gone. It is fine & dandy though, I will start over, it had been several months since I had written due to school and life! As soon as I get my other blogs fixed I’ll be posting again, so stay tuned!
